It is with deep sadness that we
learned that on Friday, August 22, Gerardo Valladares, the brother
of one of our staff members, Carlos Valladares, who works in the
Printing, Distribution, and Information Services Section, was hit
by a car and killed while crossing Georgia Ave. in Silver Spring.
Gerardo was 27 years old.
Staff members in the Department of
Conferences and Meetings have decided to set up an account for
contributions to help Carlos repatriate his brother’s remains to
Honduras. The account in the Credit Union is under the name of
Ayuda Flia Valladares, Account # 7175. Any assistance would be
greatly appreciated.

profundo pesar, nos enteramos que el pasado viernes, 22 de agosto,
Gerardo Valladares, hermano de uno de los funcionarios de la OEA,
Carlos Valladares, quien trabaja en la Sección de Imprenta,
Distribución y Servicios de Información, murió al ser arrollado
cuando intentaba cruzar Georgia Ave. en Silver Spring. Gerardo
tenía 27 años de edad.
Los miembros del
personal del Departamento de Conferencias y Reuniones han decidido
abrir una cuenta para recibir sus contribuciones que ayuden a
Carlos a repatriar los restos de su hermano a su natal Honduras. La
cuenta en la Cooperativa de Crédito OEA está a nombre de Ayuda
Flia Valladares, Cuenta N.º 7175. Su ayuda será infinitamente
agradecida.
