SPECIAL
ASSEMBLY OF THE STAFF ASSOCIATION
The Staff Committee is pleased to convene a Special Staff
Assembly for July 1st, 2008 at 10:00 a.m., pursuant to
Article 9 of the Statutes of the Staff Association, to consider the
items listed in the attached Agenda.

This Special Assembly is convened in response to the petition,
copy attached [click
here], signed by 111 members of Staff which means that the
10% requirement set out in Article 41 of the said Statutes has been
met.
In compliance with Article 41 of the said Statutes, the text of the
proposed amendment is hereby made available to the Staff for a
period of at least four working days before it is submitted to a
vote.
Since it is expected that a vote is to be taken on the proposals
presented in the petition, the Staff is reminded of the provisions
of Article 11 of the said Statutes:
“Article 11 –Quorum
The presence of 25 percent of the members of the Staff
Association shall constitute a quorum. Decisions shall be made by a
majority of those present at the time of voting. Procedures shall
be governed by Robert’s Rules of Order.”

The Department of Human Resources has kindly agreed that Staff will
be excused from work in order to attend the Special Assembly.
