HURRICANE DEAN –RELIEF EFFORT 

The Staff Committee extends its sympathy to all the Staff Members from those countries affected by Hurricane Dean which passed through the Caribbean Sea and into the Bay of Campeche in the past few days. 

While we are relieved that Hurricane Dean did not live up to the most dire forecasts we are keenly aware of the loss of life and damage to property which it has already left in its wake and the further damage threatened to Mexico. 

We have therefore opened an account, No. 300663, at the OAS Staff Federal Credit Union and invite the Staff to make donations for the affected Member States which we will forward through the respective Permanent Missions to the OAS. 

 

HURACÁN DEAN – CONTRIBUCIÓN PARA LOS DAÑOS 

El Comité del Personal desea expresar sus muestras de simpatía a todos los Miembros del Personal de aquellos países afectados por el Huracán Dean que pasó por el Mar Caribe y la Bahía de Campeche durante estos días.

Estamos aliviados de saber que el Huracán Dean no llegó a ser tan devastador como fue anticipado pero a la vez estamos muy conscientes de la pérdida de vidas y de los daños sufridos hasta la fecha, así como la presente amenaza que el Huracán representa para México.

En este sentido, hemos abierto una cuenta, No. 300663, en la Cooperativa de Ahorro y Crédito de la OEA e invitamos al Personal a hacer donaciones para los Estados Miembros afectados, las cuales serán enviadas a través de las respectivas Misiones Permanentes ante la OEA.
