Salaries/Sueldos
The Staff Committee
wishes to remind the staff of the current policy of the General Secretariat
regarding salaries of the staff of the General Secretariat. The Department
of Human Resources is the official entity of the General Secretariat
responsible for informing the staff, when appropriate, about adjustments to
the salary scales.

del Personal desea recordar al personal sobre la política vigente de la
Secretaría General con respecto a los sueldos para el personal de la
Secretaría General. El Departamento de Recursos Humanos es la entidad
oficial de la Secretaría General encargada de informar al personal sobre los
ajustes salariales cuando corresponda.

Subchapter C: Salaries, Classification, and Evaluation
Article 40. Salaries
a.
The salaries in force for the staff of the General Secretariat
shall be the salaries in force at the United Nations Secretariat, to the
extent stated below as permitted within the framework of resolution AG/RES.
1319 (XXV-O/95), entitled "Modification and Clarification of Resolutions
AG/RES. 1275 (XXIV-O/94) and CP/RES. 631 (989/94) for the Modification of
the General Secretariat's Staff Compensation System."
b.
The salary scales in force for net basic salaries shall be
those applied by the United Nations Secretariat for the corresponding duty
station, based on salary schedules recommended by the International Civil
Service Commission.
c.
The post adjustment schedules adopted for the United Nations
Secretariat shall apply to the staff of the OAS General Secretariat.

Artículo 40. Sueldos
a.
Los sueldos en vigor para el personal de la Secretaría General
serán iguales a los que rijan para la Secretaría de las Naciones Unidas, en
la medida en que lo permita lo dispuesto en la resolución AG/RES. 1319 (XXV-O/95),
titulada “Modificación y aclaración de las resoluciones AG/RES. 1275 (XXIV-O/94)
y CP/RES. 631 (989/94) sobre modificación del sistema de remuneración del
personal de la Secretaría General”.
b.
Las escalas en vigor para los sueldos básicos netos
corresponderán a las que aplica la Secretaría de las Naciones Unidas en el
lugar de destino correspondiente, utilizando como base las escalas de
sueldos que recomienda la Comisión de Administración Pública Internacional.
c.
Se aplicará al personal de la Secretaría General de la OEA las
escalas de ajuste por lugar de destino que haya aprobado la Secretaría de
las Naciones Unidas.
