CICLO DE CHARLAS PRE JUBILACION
Se invita a los
funcionarios de la Secretaría General de la OEA y de las demás organizaciones
afiliadas al Plan de Jubilaciones y Pensiones de la OEA, así como a sus
cónyuges, a asistir al Ciclo de Charlas Pre
Jubilación que se llevará a cabo durante los meses de noviembre y
diciembre del presente año.
La invitación está
abierta a todos los funcionarios y cónyuges, así como a los jubilados que tengan
interés en asistir. Sin embargo, se
enfatiza el beneficio que estas charlas
reportarán particularmente a los funcionarios de 50 años de edad o más,
independientemente de que planeen tomar una pensión o no al retirarse.
Las charlas están
dirigidas particularmente a asistir a quienes se van a retirar del servicio
activo durante los próximos cinco años, a examinar los numerosos aspectos que
cada funcionario y su cónyuge deben decidir al pasar a la vida de retirado, así
como asistirles en el proceso de adoptar tales decisiones con la debida
información.
Las charlas se
llevarán a cabo en el Edificio de la Secretaría General (1889 F St. NW), entre
las 11:30 a.m. y las 2:00 p.m. y se proveerán sándwiches y bebidas a los
asistentes.

PRE-RETIREMENT LECTURE SERIES
We invite staff members and
members’ spouses from the General Secretariat of the Organization of American
States (OAS) and from the other organizations affiliated with the OAS Retirement
and Pension Fund to attend a Pre-Retirement
Lecture Series, to be held during November and December 2006.
Participation is open to all
staff members and their spouses, as well as to already-retired staff interested
in attending. However, the lectures are
designed to be of particular benefit to staff members over 50 years of age,
irrespective of whether or not they plan to take a pension upon retiring.
The series particularly aims
to acquaint staff members retiring over the next five years, with the numerous
issues
that he/she and his/her spouse must consider in approaching retirement, as well
as with a process for making informed decisions about them.
The lectures will take place
at the General Secretariat Building (1889 F St., NW), between 11:30 a.m. and
2:00 p.m. Complimentary sandwiches and soft drinks will be provided.
