EXECUTIVE ORDER NO. 05-7
It is with great
satisfaction that the Staff Committee informs the staff that on April 11,
2005, the Acting Secretary General signed Executive Order No. 05-7,
“Prohibition against Workplace Harassment,” which can be found at

The Staff Committee
wishes to publicly recognize the work done by the previous Staff Committee
regarding this issue and wishes to give special recognition to the
Subcommittee on Harassment in the Workplace headed by Carlos Humud.
The 2004-2005 Staff
Committee followed up on the document, which had been held up for several
months in the Department of Legal Affairs and Services (DLAS). The document
was finally revised by DLAS, and the Assistant Secretary General consulted
with the Committee on the revision.
We thank the Acting
Secretary General for his patience in the face of the Committee’s repeated
queries about the status of the executive order, which will significantly
complement current administration and staff guidelines.

ORDEN EJECUTIVA NO. 05-7
El Comité de Personal tiene
la enorme satisfacción de informar al personal que el Secretario General
Interino firmó el 11 de abril de 2005 la Orden Ejecutiva No. 05-7,
“Prohibición contra el Acoso en el Lugar de Trabajo”, la cual puede
encontrar en

El Comité desea
reconocer públicamente el trabajo realizado por el Comité del Personal
anterior en relación con este tema y desea hacer un especial reconocimiento
al Subcomité de Acoso en el Lugar de Trabajo liderado por Carlos Humud.
El Comité de Personal
2004-2005 dio seguimiento al documento, el cual estuvo durante varios meses
estancado en el Departamento de Asuntos y Servicios Jurídicos (DASJ). El
documento finalmente fue revisado por DASJ y el Secretario General Interino
consultó dicha revisión con el Comité.
Agradecemos al Secretario
General Interino su paciencia ante las repetidas consultas sobre el estado
de esta Orden Ejecutiva, la cual significativamente complementará los
lineamientos de administración y personal.
