announces the results of the elections held on June 24 and 25, 2004, for
President, members of the Staff Committee and for Principal and Alternate
Representatives of the Retirement and Pension Committee, in accordance with
the Statutes of the Staff Association.

The total number of
ballots tallied for Staff Committee members was 425, of which 73 were from
the Offices of the General Secretariat in the member States, 38 were votes
cast in absence, 2 were blank and 6 were void. The total number of ballots
tallied for Representative and Alternate on the Retirement and Pension
Committee was 434, of which 100 were from the Offices of the General
Secretariat in the member States, and IICA, 38 in absence, and 0 were blank
and 7 were void.
El total de votos
escrutados para el Comité del Personal fue de 425, de los cuales 73 fueron
de las Oficinas de la Secretaría General en los Estados miembros, 38 en
ausencia, 2 en blanco y 6 anulados. El total de votos escrutados para
Representante y Suplente ante la Comisión de Jubilaciones y Pensiones fue
de 434, de los cuales 100 fueron de las Oficinas de la Secretaría General
en los Estados miembros y el IICA, 38 en ausencia, 0 en blanco y 7 fueron
anulados.
The Nominating Committee
thanks the members of the Teller Committee that participated in this
process for their excellent and efficient work. It also thanks those staff
members who served as election officers.
