The OAS Staff Association (OASSA), deeply saddened by the brutal attack on Monday, August 18, 2003, on the United Nations in Baghdad, Iraq, which resulted in the senseless murder and injury of so many dedicated international civil servants, condemns in the strongest terms this heinous and cowardly attack on persons whose only aim was to provide humanitarian aid.

OASSA extends its sincere condolences to the families and friends of those killed and injured in the attack.
