NOMINATIONS FOR THE STAFF ASSOCIATION

2016 TERRY WOODS AWARD

Terence Woods was the President of the OAS Staff Association from 1989 to 1991. The commemorative Terry Woods fund was started with the voluntary contributions of OAS staff  member to honor his departure. The deepest wishes of Mrs. Margarita Woods who was Mr. Woods' widow, was  to dedicate this fund to support all of the good interest and wellbeing of the staff, mission which Terry Woods devoted much of his time and effort.

On April 12th, 1994, the Staff Committee decided to establish an award for OAS staff members who would have distinguished themselves for their extraordinary efforts to improve the working conditions and terms of employment of their colleagues.

The Terry Woods Award constitutes the highest recognition that an official of the OAS  can receive for extraordinary services to the staff. This consists of a commemorative plaque, and does not carry any prize in cash.
