HELP FOR CHILE – UPDATE
The Staff Committee wishes to express its deepest condolences to
the people of Chile on the unfortunate loss of lives and material
damage caused by the earthquake and tsunami that hit that country
on February 27, 2010.
We have
identified three methods of assistance, and wish you
are able to collaborate in
one or more.
The
first method is to help directly one of our OAS staff members,
Ms. Patricia Leyva, whose family has suffered significant
losses. To this end, account #20-6335 has been set up at the OAS
Staff Federal Credit Union.
The
second method is to contribute to the Chilean Relief effort of the
Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) at
http://www.panamericanrelief.org.
The
third method is to donate to an account that the Staff Association
has opened to collect donations for the Leo S. Rowe Emergency
Fund. The Fund’s resources have been drastically depleted due to
recent catastrophic events in Haiti and Chile. To ensure its
continued viability and ability to assist all members of the OAS
family in times of need, any funds collected in this account
(60-0663) will be donated to the Leo S. Rowe Emergency Fund
on behalf of the staff of the OAS.
