Advisory Committee on the 2017 Budget Following up on Staff News #57, dated March 31, 2016, the Staff Committee would like to inform that the Secretary General established the Advisory Committee on 2017 Budget on the 31st of March, 2016.  This Advisory Committee, which will advise  on the most effective, transparent, and just manner of reducing  personnel and non-personnel costs in order to meet the budget ceiling mandated by Permanent Council Resolution CP/RES 1059, is comprised of the Secretary of Administration and Finance (Jay Anania), the Senior Advisor for Strategy  and Organizational Development (Luis Porto), an Advisor from the Secretary-General’s Office (Maria Teresa Mellenkamp),  the President of the Staff Association (Luiz Marcelo Azevedo) and another Representative of the Staff Committee (Carla Sorani). We would also like to inform that the first meeting of the Advisory Committee is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, May 4.  Following this meeting, the Staff Committee expects to be able to provide more information to Staff Members and, accordingly, will convene an Informative Session on May 9. Comité Asesor sobre el Presupuesto 2017 En seguimiento al Staff News #57, con fecha 31 de Marzo del 2016, el Comité del Personal desea informar que el Secretario General estableció, el 31 de Marzo del 2016, un Comité Asesor sobre el presupuesto 2017. Este Comité Asesor, el cual asesorará sobre la manera más eficaz, transparente y justa de reducir costos del personal y no-personal, con el fin de cumplir  el límite presupuestario establecido por la Resolución del Consejo Permanente CP/RES 1059, está conformado por el Secretario de Administración y Finanzas (Jay Anania), el  Asesor Principal en Asuntos Estratégicos y Desarrollo Organizacional (Luis Porto), una Asesora de la Oficina del Secretario General (Maria Teresa Mellenkamp), el Presidente de la Asociación del Personal (Luiz Marcelo Azevedo) y una Representante del Comité del Personal (Carla Sorani). Quisiéramos también informar que la primera reunión del Comité Asesor está programada para el miércoles 4 de mayo. Luego de esta reunión, el Comité del Personal espera proporcionar  más información a los miembros del Personal y, para ello, se convocará una Sesión Informativa el 9 de Mayo.
