It is with deep
sadness that the OAS Staff Association informs of the passing of our
dear friend, colleague and Vice-President of the Staff Association, Mr.
Michael G. Thomas, on January 26, 2016 in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Mr. Michael G. Thomas had been serving the staff of
the General Secretariat as member of the Committee as well as representative
in various Mixed Committees since 2004. In 2013, he was elected as President of the Staff
Association for the period 2013-2014. Mike believed in the work of the
staff committee and always worked diligently in the service of the staff. To show support to his family at
this difficult time, the Staff Association has opened an account
#500663 - OAS Staff Association at the OAS Credit Union. Donations
will be channeled through the Staff Association directly to his wife
Genoveva. ********************* La Asociación del Personal de la OEA informa con profundo dolor al
personal sobre el fallecimiento de nuestro querido amigo, colega y
Vicepresidente de la Asociación del Personal Sr. Michael G Thomas,
ocurrido el día 26 de enero de 2016, en Bethesda, Maryland. El Sr. Michael G.
Thomas sirvió al personal de la Secretaría General tanto como miembro del
Comité del Personal, así como representante en diferentes Comités Mixtos
desde el año 2004. En el año 2013 fue electo Presidente de la
Asociación del Personal para el período 2013-2014. Mike confiaba en el
trabajo del Comité del Personal y siempre trabajó con diligencia, a servicio del personal. La Asociación del
Personal, con el ánimo de colaborar y
brindar apoyo a su familia, ha abierto la cuenta #500663 - OAS Staff
Association en la Cooperativa de Crédito de la OEA para que
aquellos que quieran colaborar puedan hacer efectiva su donación.
Estas serán canalizadas a través de la Asociación del Personal y
directamente a su esposa Genoveva. |
