Did you know that Rule 105.2defines and establishes concepts on matters of transfers?

§        Rule 105.2 defines Transfers as a change of post without a change in grade and step; as well as when a staff member's post is abolished and he/she is offered another post in the same grade and at the same salary.

§    This Rule also establishes that the General Secretariat shall attempt to maintain a policy to allow for lateral movement and rotation of staff members to other positions of the same category and grade within the General Secretariat, to enable them to broaden their experience and knowledge for the benefit of the Organization.

§    Staff member to be transferred must meet the necessary requirements of the post to which it is proposed he/she be transferred.

§    The refusal of a staff member in the professional category to accept a transfer without justified cause shall imply his/her resignation from the General Secretariat effective on the date of said refusal. In the case of a staff member in the general services category, his/her refusal of a transfer without justified cause shall be considered as a resignation only if the transfer is within the same duty station.

§     An implicit resignation under these Rules shall be construed as a voluntary separation from service, and a staff member separated by way of implicit resignation shall have no greater rights than a staff member who otherwise resigns under Rule 110.1.

¿Sabías que la Regla 105.2 define y establece conceptos en materia de traslados?

• La Regla 105.2 define el Traslado como un cambio de puesto, sin modificación de grado ni de paso o al hecho de que al suprimirse el puesto que ocupa un funcionario se le ofrezca otro del mismo grado y sueldo.
• Esta Regla establece además que la Secretaría General procurará mantener una política de movimiento lateral y de rotación que permita el traslado de los funcionarios a puestos de la misma categoría y grado dentro de la Secretaría General, con el objeto de que puedan ampliar sus conocimientos y experiencias para beneficio de la Organización.
• Para que un funcionario pueda ser trasladado se requiere que llene los requisitos necesarios para desempeñar el puesto al cual se ha propuesto trasladarlo.
• La negativa sin causa justificada de un funcionario de la categoría profesional a aceptar un traslado implicará su renuncia de la Secretaría General a partir de la fecha de su negativa. En el caso de un funcionario de la categoría de servicios generales, su negativa sin causa justificada sólo se considerará como renuncia cuando se trate de un traslado dentro del mismo lugar de destino.
• Una renuncia implícita en virtud del Reglamento de Personal se interpretada como separación voluntaria del servicio y el funcionario separado del servicio por vía de renuncia implícita no tendrá mayores derechos que los funcionarios que renuncien en virtud de la Regla 110.1.
