ELECTORAL PROCESS 2015-2016 In accordance with the Statutes of the OAS Staff Association, the Nominating Committee met on May 19^th, 2015, and elected Ms. Maria Teresa Mellenkamp as President of the Nominating Committee 2015-16.  The Nominating Committee urges all members of the Staff Association to present candidates for: •    President of the Staff Association •    Members of the Staff Committee, and •    A representative and an Alternate Representative to the Retirement and  Pension Committee The nominating petition link must be used. (See below) The election of all the above to actively represent the interests of staff members of the General Secretariat is of crucial importance. It is the duty of each staff member to carefully select the nominees and to give them full and enthusiastic support. Nomination is an honor and a trust that should be valued and is an opportunity to participate in the empowerment of our Association and of the Organization. Nominations must be delivered to the President of the Nominating Committee or to any of the Nominating Committee members by 5:30 PM on Friday, June 19^th, 2015. The presentation of each proposed candidate should be accompanied by a brief resume in English and/or Spanish (preferably both) and a recent photograph, black and white if possible, of the candidate. The profiles submitted by the candidates should include only biographical information, education, work experience any association memberships and a personal statement related to your interest in serving on the Staff Association or on the Retirement and Pension Committee. Maria Teresa Mellenkamp como Presidenta del Comité de Nominaciones 2015-16. El Comité de Nominaciones insta a las y los miembros de la Asociación del Personal a presentar candidatos/as para los cargos de: •     Presidente/a •     Miembros del Comité del Personal, y •     Representante y Representante Suplente ante la Comisión de Jubilaciones y Pensiones. Debe utilizarse la papeleta de nominaciones que se encuentra más abajo en un enlace. La elección de un/una Presidente/ a y de un Comité del Personal que representen activamente los intereses de los funcionarios y funcionarias de la Secretaría General es de extrema importancia. Es deber de cada funcionario/a seleccionar cuidadosamente a las y los candidatos nominados y apoyarlos de manera entusiasta. El ser nominado representa un honor y una muestra de confianza que deben ser apreciadas, además de constituir una oportunidad de participar en el fortalecimiento, tanto de nuestra Asociación como de la Organización. Las nominaciones deben ser entregadas a la Presidenta del Comité de Nominaciones, o a cualquier de las y los miembros  del Comité de Nominaciones antes de las 5:30 PM del viernes 19 de junio de 2015. La presentación de cada candidatura deberá estar acompañada también de una breve reseña biográfica en inglés y/o español (preferiblemente en los dos idiomas) y de una fotografía reciente si es posible en blanco y negro. En los perfiles sometidos por las y los candidatos se debe incluir únicamente información biográfica, educación, experiencia laboral y cualquier participación en asociaciones, así como su interés expreso de servir en la Asociación del Personal o en la Comisión de Jubilaciones y Pensiones. El perfil no deberá tener más de 350 palabras.
