ELECTORAL PROCESS 2012-2013
VOTER ELIGIBILITY
To vote for the Staff Committee you must have a permanent or temporary appointment of six months or more in accordance with the list provided by the Department of Human Resources as of April 30th 2012. The following members of the General Secretariat are eligible voters,
1. Career service staff members
2. Continuing contract staff members
3. Long term and Short term staff members with a contract of 6 months or more
4. Staff members, including those with “Trust contract”, with one or more consecutive contracts which add up to a period of 6 months or more
To vote for the Retirement and Pension Committee you must have a permanent or temporary appointment of six months or more (see 1-4 above) and you must participate in the OAS Retirement and Pension Fund. The Staff of the Inter-American Institute of Cooperation for Agriculture (IICA), the Inter-American Defense Board (JID), the Inter-American Court of Human Rights (ICHR), and the Tropical Research and Higher Education Center (CATIE), who belong to the Retirement and Pension Plan, are also eligible to vote.

eligible to vote in either the General Services Building (GSB), or the
Administrative Building (ADM):
- BALLOT BOXES- GENERAL SECRETARIAT BUILDING (GSB LIST)
NOTE: All Staff members who work in the GSB must vote in the GSB.
- BALLOT BOXES-ADMINISTRATIVE BUILDING (ADM LIST)
NOTE: All Staff members who work in either: Main Building (MNB), Administrative Building (ADM), Casita, or the Museum, must vote in the Administrative Building (ADM).
You must have your OAS identification in order to vote and you will only be able to vote in your designated location. No exceptions will be made to the foregoing.

VOTANTES HÁBILES
Para votar por miembros del Comité del Personal se debe poseer un nombramiento/contrato temporario o permanente de seis meses o más, de acuerdo al listado provisto por el Departamento de Recursos Humanos con cierre al 30 de abril de 2012. Los funcionarios de la Secretaría General hábiles para votar son:
1- Funcionarios del servicio de carrera.
2- Funcionarios con contrato continúo.
3- Funcionarios con contrato de largo o corto plazo con un contrato de 6 meses
o más.
4- Funcionarios, incluyendo al personal de confianza, que posea uno o más
contratos consecutivos que superen los 6 meses de servicio o más.
Para votar por Representante y Alterno ante el Fondo de Jubilaciones y Pensiones Ud. debe poseer un nombramiento permanente o temporal de seis meses o más (vea los puntos 1 a 4) y debe participar en el Fondo de Jubilaciones y Pensiones de la OEA. El personal del Instituto Interamericano de Cooperación para la Agricultura (IICA), la Junta Interamericana de Defensa (JID), la Corte Interamericana de Derechos Humanos (ICHR), Centro Agronómico Tropical de Investigación y Enseñanza (CATIE), que pertenecen al Fondo de Jubilaciones y Pensiones, también son elegibles para votar.
Por favor haga clic en alguna de las listas. Cada lista indica los funcionarios hábiles a votar y el edificio respectivo de votación:
- CAJA DE VOTACIÓN- EDIFICIO DE SERVICIOS GENERALES (LISTA GSB)
NOTA: Todos los funcionarios que trabajan en el GSB, sólo podrán votar en el GSB.
- CAJA DE VOTACION – EDIFICIO ADMINISTRATIVO (LISTA ADM)
NOTA: Todos los funcionarios que trabajan en el edificio Principal (MNB),
Administrativo (ADM), Casita, o el Museo, sólo podrán votar en el ADM.
Usted debe presentar su identificación de la OEA para votar y solamente podrá votar en el edificio asignado. No habrá excepciones.
